In a significant step towards combating the pervasive crisis of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), the Eyomphakathi Foundation has been appointed by the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) in partnership with the FirstRand Foundation. This collaborative initiative aims to address the alarming prevalence of SGBV and empower communities to stand against it. Eyomphakathi Foundation stands as one of the four chosen Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) in KwaZulu-Natal to lead this pivotal mission, uniting with fellow NPOs across other provinces.
The SGBV pandemic has cast a dark shadow over societies globally, and South Africa is no exception. This partnership aligns with the urgent need to tackle the root causes of SGBV and provide support for survivors. Eyomphakathi Foundation's selection as one of the KwaZulu-Natal representatives underscores its proven commitment to positive change within its community.
